Laboratory of Education Policy, Research, Development and Interuniversity Cooperation of the Dept. of International and European Studies of the University of Piraeus, organised session titled as "Education and Democracy: European policies and tools" at the International Conference of International Sociological Association "Democracy and participation in the 21st century", that took place in Lisbon on 12-15 of July 2017. On behalf of the Laboratory were presented two papers:
- Foteini Asderaki and Alexandros Apostolidis (2017), "Promoting Democracy in Schools through European Education Projects" and
- Iliana Pazarzi (2017) "Theater as an educational tool for the inclusion of migrants/refugees in European societies".
