grigoriouPanagiotis Grigoriou is Professor in International and European Institutions, at the Department of Sociology of the University of Aegean. Since 2002 he holds a Jean Monnet Chair on the European Political Integration.
He is Dean at the School of Social Studies at the University of the Aegean and General Director of the international Summer School on European Governance, organized on the island of Lesbos.
Between 2003 and 2008 he was a member of the Congress of the Euro-Mediterranean University (EMUNI) in Slovenia and has also participated actively in its educational activities. He is President of the Administrative Board of the European Community Studies Association (ECSA – Greece) and member of the Hellenic Society for International Law and International Relations.

He has taught as visiting professor in many academic institutions in Europe, in Africa and in Canada (Paris III- Sorbonne Nouvelle, Luxembourg, Institut d’ Etudes Politiques de Strasbourg, Krakow, Faculty of Public Administration & Political Science of Bucharest, Montpellier 3, Institut européen de Genève, Centre européen de formation de Berlin, Laval, UQAM, Montréal, Marrakech, Abidjan, etc)
His scientific work is focused on European law and European politics issues, but also on topics that deal with International Law.
